I just wished you Happy Easter in Norwegian. Officially it is EASTER here and we are closed till Monday. Everything meaning literally everything shuts down from Thursday to Monday (except for a short stint on Saturday) and if we forget to stock up our reserves, we can fast until Tuesday :-). Here is my Easter bunny my PEPPER.
It loves to cuddle up in my arms and can sleep for hours :-)
With the Spring pruning I got my needed twigs for the decoration
Didn't know what to do with the left over eggs, don't u think they look nice in this pasta bottle
All these cute little chicks are brought home by my son some 11 odd years ago made with his little thumb. Aren't they lovely?
A glass bird's nest that I picked up in Murano (Italy) served good for the eggs..
I do not know much about the religious significance ... but it is always nice to celebrate all festivals. Wish you all a Happy Easter and wonderful SPRING ahead.
Lovely images and yes its nice to celebrate all festivals!
ReplyDelete@Anu - I have to go a long way in taking good pics. It's high time I start learning :-)
ReplyDeleteShanthi- Just by frequently reading your blog, I think I would have amassed quite the Norwegian vocabulary soon. Yes! yes! Love celebrating festivals...
ReplyDelete@Divya - I will be very glad if you can soon speak Norwegian :-). My other intention though is to bring to you all the culture and lifestyle of the people of this nation- which the UN continuously ranks as the world's best place to live :-).
ReplyDeleteAwwwwwww, pepper. I want him (and someone to clean up after him, too!)
ReplyDeleteHope you have a lovely Easter!!
@GB Then u need to take me as well. But seriously they are very clean beings. I am amazed how he keeps his cage and has demarcated areas for different use. There is something to learn there :-).
ReplyDeleteAwww Happy Easter to you too. I loooooooved the tablecloth made by your son. These are small memories that we will treasure of their childhood :). When they get too big to be hugged and kissed :). I am sure all the kids would be mortified to hear how mommies talk ;). Loved the twig collection and the bunny brought back memories of my red colored eyes bunny. Lovely colorful post. The forced daffodils are gorgeous. I forced paperwhites this year and pink tulips last year. Had a wonderful time looking at bright flowers in the middle of winter. Have a great time with your daughter.
