YAY!!!! I am excited!

I was on a phone with one blogger friend I just came to know from UK , and we were chatting off happily .  Suddenly my son started calling me frantically Mamma!!! Mamma!!! Mamma!!! - so I asked her to hold on and tried to tell him that I was on a call. He shouted again - see outside!!! see outside!!! .  Oooh lala Oooh lala YESS! I am excited and it is SNOWING!!!! suddenly out of blue when I was least expecting it. Just yesterday another blogger friend wished me a happy White Christmas and I was not sure if it would be White this year as we still have + temperatures . Mind you it is the 1st week of Dec and zero and above is HOT by all means :-).

As soon as I hung up the phone I sneaked out with my camera to capture how my quaint little town got so beautifully dusted with the white powdery snow. I wish I had the BEFORE Pictures to show you how beautiful the AFTER scene has become. In my early years in Norway I wondered when Norwegians said that they felt bored in tropical countires after a couple of years as they missed the seasons. I could never understand how they could trade between the warm weather to the dark, cold and grey one. But how ones own perceptions change over time and how much I resonate with them today, looking forward to these seasonal arts created by mother nature  in its myriad colors and forms, that are such an eye candy. If I was destined to move out of India , I thank my stars that I landed in Norway. OK OK I know I have talked a lot,  pardon me , all that's the excitement the first snow brought and mind you the first snow is the whitest of all :-). Is it only me? or do you also get as excited at the FIRST thingies...

  3. OMG, now you have gotten me so excited too Shanthi - how absolutely gorgeous:) I love it. Here in Florida, we are walking around in shorts during Christmas, somehow it just never seems like Christmas to me:):) Though my old bones are not complaining about the warm weather:)
