In Norway mother's day is celebrated in February. But why do we need a day to celebrate Mother . There is no love like Mother's love and she needs to be celebrated everyday - MY mom made me laugh... Wiped my tears... Hugged me tight... Watched me succeed... Saw me fall... Cheered me on... Kept me going strong... smiled at my tantrums And... She left me early on. Moms are a promise from God that you will have a friend forever!...and I had a wondeful MOM ( I will always have her watching me from heavens) but I do miss her dearly. Happy Mother's day.
what a lovely post.

ReplyDeleteWe are who we are as daughters of our mothers. For that I am eternally grateful to my mother. We can only hope to pass on that continuity to our children. Happy Mother's Day. It was a holiday that originated in West Virginia and passed into law in 1910 :) in the US.

ReplyDeleteI have a small story that I share with my daughter. I give her a kiss in the middle of her palm and tell her that if she ever feelslonely all she has to do is take the palm ad put iton her cheek and I will be there with her and she gives me a kiss too in my palm. So she never is without me and I am never without her. Mothers and daughters, such a special relationship...Lovely tribute Shanthi.
